ABOUT

Words Have Meanings

As the “Purveyor of Rock n’ Roll Poetry, Prose, Songs, Comedy, and Commentary on Democracy and Self-Government Preservation in the Republic of the United States of America”, I create content in several modes.

This website includes pages of my creative work. One for POETRY, one for PROSE, one for SONGS, one for COMEDY, and one for COMMENTARY. Visit each page to see the thrust of the work.

I am one of the “everyday people” who wishes “joy to the world”, “peace on earth”, and “good will toward humans”. I see little value in the cruelty the lust for power over others causes. I believe “words have meanings”, and communication is constantly difficult, so we must work at it. I believe our imaginations give us many delightful gifts, which we can enjoy with curiosity, and by not taking ourselves too seriously. Art is fun. Life is hard. Finding joy is advanced when we commit to seeking truth.

I use “Rock n’ Roll” as an adjective. To me it refers to a uniquely “American” freedom for creative expression and a necessary authority-questioning popular culture, essential for a republic to function well. The blood, sweat, and tears of common folk gave birth to Rock n’ Roll. It represents the struggles and celebration of life of everyday-people. It inspires us to think for ourselves, not be told what to think. It celebrates the poetry of precious moments we glean from simple experiences of living in the land of the free and the brave, its joys and pains, and everything in between.

I see the Founders as the original all American “Rock n’ Roll” stars. After all, their Declaration of Independence gave the metaphorical middle finger to the world’s most powerful empire, little England. That courageous eyes wide open risk taking took some real Rock n’ Roll moxie!

If we do not cooperate, misery will be our lot. I contend our purpose is to defeat hypocrisy within our selves, so that we may create a society for love and peace, with liberty and justice for all. Thanks for stopping by!
